A stunning Regency style tray in a Toleware style. derived from the French tôle peinte or "painted sheet metal". The style is synonymous with japanning. This first became fashionable in 18th-century Europe, used to decorate wood, leather and tin in imitation of celebrated lacquerwork of the Japanese.
Today, our love for the artistry continues, with pieces delicately decorated, perfect for adding a touch of romance and whimsy to your decor.
