Since our appearance last year on screen for ‘Rich House, Poor House’, top Yorkshire
publications, the Yorkshire Post Saturday Magazine and Yorkshire Living, have been keen
to meet Katy and find out more about Vintage Sofa Co. It's always fascinating to hear the questions that people ask about Vintage Sofa Co and these journalists were both keen to hear about the origins of the business, as well as Katy and Peter’s personal story which led to the business today as a whole family affair.

We hope you’ll enjoy reading about the stories behind the business and hope that anyone
considering taking that first step to strike out on their own will take inspiration from Katy and Peter who jumped into the unknown (‘We just thought it would be a romantic thing to
do’) when the family first took on derelict Jowler Mill. Look where they are now!

Vintage Sofa Co is all about helping our customers who love colour to find furniture that’s a
touch bolder and brighter. We also want to share how it is possible to buy British and find
different handcrafted pieces without breaking the bank. We consider our sofas and chairs to be future heirloom pieces, built to last and also to stand out in terms of design, quality and, of course, comfort. We only sell what we love and hope that anyone who reads the Yorkshire Post or Yorkshire Living and is looking for a new sofa, considers paying us a visit because they deserve to spend their evenings nestled into a soft Harris Tweed armchair or luxurious velvet loveseat, perhaps even to read a magazine.
